I’m running a crypto-options toolkit that couples Excel with Python through xlwings on Windows. It connects to Deribit and Bybit, prices BTC and ETH options, and rolls those numbers into P/L and risk reports. The volatility-surface interpolator is fine, but the pricing engine and the downstream risk calculations are now throwing errors, which breaks the entire reporting chain. I’ll share the workbook, the Python modules and a short technical document that maps the whole flow. I need you to trace the faults, refactor where necessary, and get everything—pricing, greeks, P/L and risk metrics—working smoothly again. The existing API calls to Laevitas and Deribit do not need any changes, so concentrate on the internal logic and the Excel-Python hand-off. Please save your fixed version under a new name so my current production file stays untouched. Deliverables • A fully functional Excel/Python package saved under a new filename • Clear in-code comments or a brief change log detailing the fixes • A quick validation showing correct pricing and risk numbers for sample BTC and ETH chains All work must be tested in a Windows environment with xlwings installed. The job is larger than a one-day tweak, so plan accordingly and feel free to ask questions as you dig in.

Hi, Your crypto-options Excel and Python workflow needs debugging across pricing, greeks, P/L, and risk outputs. For your project, our team will: • Trace the Excel-to-Python xlwings hand-off and isolate the failing logic in the pricing and risk chain • Refactor the internal Python modules without changing the existing Deribit and Laevitas API calls • Fix the pricing engine so BTC and ETH option chains produce consistent greeks, P/L, and risk metrics • Save the corrected workbook and code under a new filename so production files remain untouched • Add clear in-code comments or a brief change log for every fix applied We work with Python, software architecture, PHP, and API Integration for financial and analytics workflows, including spreadsheet-driven tools where correctness and traceability matter. Which Excel workbook tabs or Python modules should I inspect first to reproduce the pricing and risk errors fastest? Relevant projects: OxTech (AI SaaS Platform) [login to view URL] Relevant for structured Python-backed workflows, API handling, and reporting logic. BrightBee [login to view URL] Relevant for scalable application structure and business automation. I'd be happy to discuss the details and answer any questions before we get started. Looking forward to working with you. Best regards, Mubeen Web Crest

This is more than fixing Python exceptions. The important part is tracing the full Excel → xlwings → Python pricing → Greeks → P/L/risk chain and verifying that the repaired calculations are actually correct. I’d first reproduce the failures in the Windows/xlwings environment, isolate the pricing-engine root causes, then trace their downstream impact on Greeks, P/L and risk metrics. I’d keep the existing production workbook untouched, work on a separate copy, and validate the repaired version against sample BTC and ETH chains before delivery. I’d also document each meaningful change so the repaired package remains maintainable rather than simply masking the current errors. Full Microlent Systems portfolio: https://www.freelancer.com/portfolio-items/11539740-microlent-systems-portfolio One important question: do you have expected/reference pricing, Greeks and risk outputs for the sample BTC/ETH chains so the repaired calculations can be independently validated? Hi! I can trace the Excel-Python handoff, fix the pricing and risk logic, and save a clean copy without touching production. I’ll keep the Deribit/Laevitas calls unchanged and validate BTC/ETH outputs. Which workbook module currently triggers the first pricing error: the xlwings bridge or the Python risk engine? Portfolio:

Hello, I will repair your Python-Excel crypto options suite, fixing the pricing engine and downstream risk calculations so greeks, P/L and risk metrics run cleanly again through xlwings on Windows. I will save the fixed workbook under a new filename to keep your production file untouched. I can start today. I will trace the faults module by module, add a short change log, and validate with sample BTC and ETH chains before handover. Questions: 1) Can you share the current error messages or tracebacks? 2) Which Python and xlwings versions are installed? Looking forward to discussing further. Regards, Shayan.

The key issue here is not the exchange APIs — it’s tracing where the pricing engine, Greeks/P&L calculations and xlwings hand-off are breaking, then fixing the dependency chain without disturbing the working volatility surface or production workbook. I’d first reproduce the errors with the supplied BTC/ETH chains, trace Python → xlwings → Excel outputs, and isolate the faulty calculations before refactoring only what’s necessary. I’d return a separate fixed workbook/package, validate pricing, Greeks, P/L and risk metrics against sample chains, and include a concise change log so you can see exactly what was corrected. I’ll test the final version on Windows with xlwings and keep the existing production file untouched.
