I’m building an external captive portal that sits in front of my Ubiquiti UniFi controller. Once a customer pays through Paystack, the system must instantly create a username and password, push the right bandwidth limits to UniFi via its API, and save the full transaction details for later review. For day-to-day operations I also need a small admin page focused on user management—essentially a place where I can look up and handle existing users without touching the UniFi dashboard itself. Deliverables • Fully functional captive-portal front end with Paystack one-time payment flow • Backend service that calls the UniFi API to create users, apply speed limits, and log each Paystack reference • Lightweight admin interface limited to user management • Database schema, installation script, and a concise deployment guide for Ubuntu 22.04 (or similar) Acceptance criteria A test Paystack payment must: 1. return valid credentials to the customer, 2. create the user in UniFi with the correct package limits, and 3. appear in the portal’s transaction log. Preferred stack is up to you—PHP/Laravel, Node, or Python are all fine—so long as the code is clean, ENV-based for keys, and easy to extend later.
