I need a native iOS application that will let a user point the camera at a QR code, capture it instantly, and pull out the specific plain-text string embedded inside. As soon as the text is extracted, the app should check the phone’s current locale (or, if more reliable, the GPS-based country code) and show that text in the corresponding language. Core flow • Scan QR → isolate the plain text (no vCard, no URL parsing). • Detect language context automatically from device / location. • Translate and display the content in that language. Languages required at launch include Spanish, Chinese, and French, but the code must be structured so we can add any additional market language without refactoring the whole app. Technical notes – Built in Swift / SwiftUI, compatible with the latest iOS release. – Use AVFoundation (or preferred framework) for scanning. – You may integrate Apple’s Translation framework or another reliable service as long as it stays within App Store guidelines. – Clean architecture and well-commented code so my in-house team can extend language lists later. Deliverables 1. Xcode project with all source files. 2. TestFlight build for functional review. 3. Brief setup/extension guide covering how to add new languages and adjust GPS vs. locale detection logic. Acceptance criteria • Scan speed under two seconds on current iPhone models. • Accurate language selection matching the device’s primary language in 95 % of tests. • Seamless fallback to English if no translation is available. If anything is unclear, let me know so we can lock the scope before you start coding.
