I’m building a small arcade-style attraction made up of six identical stations. Each station will recognise when its hand-held controller is lifted by means of a magnetic sensor—or any other proper kind of sensor —then launch a three-minute countdown. Here is the user flow I need you to realise: 1. Controller is lifted → internal timer starts. 2. An OLED screen at that station immediately shows the remaining time, counting down in real time. 3. When the three minutes expire the screen simply replaces the countdown with a clear “Game Over, move to next zone ” message + a buzzer or light; 4. Once the controller is set back the system must reset itself, ready for the next player. Hardware thoughts so far: magnetic (reed or Hall) sensor to detect lift, an Arduino or comparable microcontroller running the timer logic, and a compact OLED display for each station. I am open to part recommendations if they shorten development or improve reliability, but please keep the overall design simple and cost-conscious. Deliverables I expect: • Schematic and parts list for one station, scalable to six • Clean, well-commented Arduino sketch compiling under the current IDE • Brief wiring and installation guide so my team can replicate the build • a quick demo video or photos of the prototype in action Timeline: I would like to have a working prototype and the full documentation within one month. If this fits your skill set and schedule, let’s discuss any clarifications you need so we can move straight into design and testing.

Hello, I understand you want to build a six-station arcade-style timer system where each station detects when its controller is lifted using a sensor, then starts a 3-minute countdown shown on an OLED screen. When time runs out, the screen will show a clear message and activate a buzzer or light. After the controller is put back, the system resets itself. I'll use a magnetic sensor for lift detection, an Arduino to handle timing and outputs, and a compact OLED display. I will provide the schematic and parts list for one station so you can easily replicate it for six stations. Also, I will write clean Arduino code and deliver a wiring guide plus a prototype demo to ensure everything is clear. What type of buzzer or light do you prefer for the alert? Do you have any specific Arduino model or sensor brands you want to use? Should the countdown be visible on the screen at all times during the game or only after lift detection? Do you need the system to save any data or just run timers independently? Will the stations have separate power sources or a shared one? What type of buzzer or light do you prefer for the alert? Looking forward to working with you. Best regards,

Hi there, I read your arcade-timer brief and I’m confident I can deliver a simple, reliable six-station system that starts a 3-minute countdown when each hand controller is lifted, shows live time on a per-station OLED, and signals end-of-game with a message and buzzer/light. I’d build each station around an Arduino Nano (or Pro Mini), a compact SSD1306 OLED, and a Hall or reed sensor on the controller for low-cost, robust lift detection; a small piezo buzzer and indicator LED finish the UX. I will provide a clear schematic and parts list for one station (scalable to six), a commented Arduino sketch compatible with the current IDE, a short wiring/install guide, and a demo video of the prototype. I can complete design, prototyping and documentation within three weeks and iterate quickly on feedback. Do you want the six stations fully independent (each standalone) or should they report status to a central controller for monitoring/scoreboard? Best regards, Cindy Viorina

Hi, Shahins ! I build reliable interactive hardware and can deliver a clean, repeatable design for your six-station arcade. I’ll keep it simple and robust: a low-cost Arduino Nano per station, SSD1306 I2C OLED, a durable Hall-effect sensor with a small magnet in the handle (more reliable than reeds), and a transistor-driven buzzer/LED. Key approach: - Non-blocking state machine (Idle → Active → Game Over → Reset) using millis() - Instant on-screen countdown (mm:ss), with debounce and lift/reseat hold-off - Clear “Game Over, move to next zone” message + buzzer/LED pattern; auto-ready on replace - Power filtering, protected I/O, and OLED burn-in mitigation Deliverables: - Schematic and scalable BOM for one station - Clean, well-commented Arduino sketch (U8g2) compiling in current IDE - Simple wiring/installation guide to replicate six units - Quick demo photos/video of the prototype To proceed, please confirm: - Power plan (per-station adapters or shared 5V rail) - Sensor preference (reed vs Hall) and magnet placement - OLED size/layout and exact message text - Buzzer/LED behavior and any mounting/environmental constraints I am prepared to talk about your project and can begin right away. Best regards, Scott

Hi, This is Jorge from IT GLOBAL SOLUTION LLC, based in the U.S. I’ve worked on microcontroller-based systems involving sensors, timers, and real-time user feedback—very similar to what you’re building with these arcade-style stations. Your flow is clear and well thought out. I’d design each station as a self-contained unit using an Arduino-compatible board, a reliable sensor (reed or Hall depending on durability needs), and an OLED display for real-time countdown. The logic will be event-driven—detect lift, trigger countdown, update display smoothly, and handle reset cleanly when the controller is returned. I’ll also integrate a simple buzzer or LED indicator for the “Game Over” state, ensuring it’s clear and consistent across all stations. The design will be optimized for easy replication across all six units, keeping wiring simple and components cost-effective. You’ll receive a clean schematic, a scalable parts list, well-commented Arduino code, and straightforward setup instructions so your team can build and deploy without issues. I can also provide a working prototype demo to validate the behavior. Happy to collaborate and refine the design to match your exact setup. Best, Jorge

You're looking to create a multi-station arcade-style attraction with a timer system for each station. Each station will start a countdown when the controller is lifted, display the time on an OLED screen, and reset after use. Here's how I will approach this: 1. Sensor Integration: I'll use a magnetic sensor (reed or Hall) to detect when the controller is lifted, triggering the timer. 2. Timer Logic: Implemented on an Arduino, the timer will count down from three minutes, displaying the time on an OLED screen. 3. Feedback Mechanism: Upon timeout, the screen will show 'Game Over, move to next zone' and activate a buzzer or light. 4. Reset Functionality: The system will reset automatically when the controller is placed back. 5. Documentation: I'll provide a schematic, parts list, and a wiring guide for scalability to six stations. 6. Prototype Demo: A quick demo video or photos of the prototype in action will be included. Timeline: 1 day. Do you have any specific preferences for the OLED screen size or buzzer type?
