INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone. I am making a clock that tells the time in words. The arduino code is basically done however I just need some help :)
The clock runs off neopixels connected in 14 strips of 14 neopixels. The neopixel data is then run off an Arduino Uno. There are also 4x inputs into the arduino, those being:
1) An LDR sensor to change the intensity of the neopixels depending if the conditions are light or dark
2) An RTC to keep more accurate time of the clock than the onboard clock on the Arduino
3) 2x pushbuttons - one for adding 1x minute to the time and one for adding 1x hour to the time.
To get an idea of what the project looks like, the clock is similar in design and look to : [login to view URL]
But instead of individual LEDs, shiftregisters, microcontrollers, I'm using neopixel strips and the Arduino Uno instead to make it easier.
WHAT THE FREELANCER MUST BE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN
Must know Arduino code for Neopixels
Must also know how to add code for an RTC, LDR and 2x pushbutton inputs
The inputs for the arduino are as follows:
1) An RTC to keep track of time accurately (DS3231 AT24C32 IIC I2C)
2) An LDR to sense light and change the brightness of the Neopixels (This one: [login to view URL])
2) 2x pushbuttons, one to increase the time by one minute and the other to increase time by one hour(These ones: [login to view URL])
I already have Arduino code for the clock however I have doubts whether the code is working 100% correctly.
THINGS THE FREELANCER WOULD NEED TO DO
1) Check the entire code for bugs, make sure syntax is correct, everything looks okay
2) Add the code for the pushbuttons
3) In regards to the RTC, I am not sure if the code correctly uses the RTC time to keep track of time or whether the onboard timepiece on the arduino is being used so this will have to be checked
4) In regards to the LDR, I am not sure if this has been coded backwards (as in more LDR light will make the LED's darker and less light will make them brighter which is the opposite of what I require).
WHAT I HAVE CURRENTLY DONE
The LED's are working but the code is not. The code is basically done, it just needs to be fixed.
The current connections I have on the Arduino are as follows:
CURRENT CONNECTIONS
Neopixels Arduino PIN
5V power = 5V
Data/DIN = 3
GND = GND
LDR Arduino PIN
Out = 13
VCC = 5V
Gnd = GND
RTC (DS3231 AT24C32) Arduino PIN
SLC = A5
SDA = A4
VCC = 5V
Gnd = GND
Push button 1 Arduino PIN
Leg 1 = Not connected
Leg 2 = Not connected
leg + = Not connected
Leg - = Not connected
Push button 2 Arduino PIN
Leg 1 = Not connected
Leg 2 = Not connected
Leg + = Not connected
Leg - = Not connected
Any other questions, please feel free to ask.
Cheers,
Robert
Hello. Im designing different electronics devices, mostly based on avr, arm MCUs and boards with them like arduino, stm-discovery etc.
(autopromotion^))
Hi.
Used to do different clock using arduino and can help you with this. I can test it at my place.
Lets talk.
Your $$$ is not serious. Hope it is not final. Or Im not interesting.
Hello, I can help you with your Clock Arduino project, but. I need more information about your project, components, deadline, and other things, maybe some pictures of your current components and also your current Neopixel wiring and maybe a video of the clock working on it.
Update: With the new information submitted, i think we can works together until achieve the current project.
Deliverable items:
- Code Arduino well explained and commented.
- Wiring Arduino diagram.
If you have any questions feel free to ask and contact me before your order.
Thank you and Have a good day, John.
Hello!
I can assist you in making of the clock. I am having experience of serving clients remotely.
Following will be flow layout of your project work.
1. Preparing the wiring layout.
2. Testing of individual components.
3. Preparation of final code.
4. Testing of final code.
Arduino will take time from RTF and check the brightness of daylight. Then arduino will drive the neopixel strips to show time.
Kindly discuss more about your project work. We will decide bid quote while sharing the project work.
Hi, I have the right experience in hardware and software development to build your project for you. I have worked with neopixels, arduinos and similar hardware applications and can complete this project in a reasonable time.
Good day!
I am interested in working on your project.
Please contact me so that we can discuss the details of your project.
Look forward to your answer.
Best regards.
Hi sir.
As an Electrical Engineer, I have expertise in prototyping through the Arduino firmware.
I have expertise in coding through Arduino IDE.
I will make sure that the work will be up to the mark.
Thanks.
