We are looking for somebody with access to a 3D printer and the ability to build a small electric circuit containing a piezoelectric buzzer, so that the different design options can be tested for loudness.
We would prefer a small, stand-alone circuit with a CR2032 battery, but are open to using an Arduino. You need some way to control the buzzer to play a note at a given frequency, so that we can test the different design options with a dB sound meter (e.g. as found in an iPhone).
We're interested in comparing the loudness when the piezo is attached directly to a plastic surface (over some small holes) and when it is mounted above the surface at e.g. 1mm above, like a drum.
We are prepared to pay more money to somebody that has some knowledge of acoustics.
