We’re looking for experienced Mandarin-language freelance writers to create travel and culture stories in a variety of formats, including features, listicles and interviews, with a focus on your location.

Your profile:

Strong writing skills, from in-depth features to listicles

Native-level Mandarin is required. Strong proficiency in English is desirable

Experience writing for online Mandarin-language publications in travel, arts and culture

Creative and full of great ideas for distinctive and engaging stories for a Chinese audience

Strong research and communication skills with an interest in, and sensitivity to, cultural nuances

In-depth knowledge of your location, from local cultures to customs and the latest trends

Good understanding of Chinese social media platforms

A degree in journalism or equivalent experience is highly desirable
