We are looking to publish a comprehensive guide for crypto-currencies. This detailed book will include sources and detailed explanations that will make it easy for someone to understand various crypto currencies in detail as well as the history of crypto-currencies in general. What we are looking for: Introduction should include a detailed history of cryptocurrencies and the block chain technology. It should include a brief description of bitcoin and the first forms of digital currencies - it is very important to explain why digital currencies can be the way of the future due to the massive cost savings involved. Despite the exponential growth over the last 2 years, The book will focus on 5 currencies: Bitcoin - (proposed ETF, regulation, terrorism financing, etc..) Litecoin (Litecoin is to Bitcoin what Silver is to Gold) Ethereum (discuss smart contracts) Dash (anonymous like cash etc.. ) Ripple (institutional application, apple, ibm etc..) Augur (predictive technology etc..) The following topics need to be covered for EACH currency (coin). 1. History of the currency 2. How is this currency different from a currency like Bitcoin and what is unique about this currency - this should include an in-depth breakdown of the currency and its technology. 3. The future of this currency, what are the proposed applications and why would people use this digital currency versus another currency. 4. How can you invest in this currency? (this section should include the 'wallet' as well as the different exchanges that allow you to buy/sell the various currencies) 5. What are the barriers of this currency? (Are there any threats from hackers? Why could it fail? Discuss the negatives and possible setbacks. *It is very important that the author uses appropriate sources and discusses relevant current media events surrounding the world of cryptocurrencies. **After reading this book, the reader should be able to discuss the blockchain history, the 6 cryptocurrencies highlighted in the book and discuss the pros and cons of each. Furthermore, they should be able to share some insight on the future of digital currencies and the various advantages and disadvantages implementing them. The reader should be able to discuss the basic concept of “mining” and how this works (this is a complicated topic so every effort should be made to simplify the explanation – use examples and analogies if possible. Any other relevant information can be added to supplement the information and new sections can also be added if the reader finds the information useful. Pictures of charts, diagrams and infographics are encouraged; this book should be interested and fun to read but also rich with knowledge. *Number of pages is not too important but the book should be over 100 pages.
