I’ve recorded a famous jazz standard, Embraceable You by George Gershwin that comes in two stems: a 1:49 vocal track and a 2:28 instrumental track. Before anything else, the vocal needs surgical cleanup—there’s an audible background hum in spots and an occasional hiss I want them completely removed but without hurting the voice. No pops or clicks are present, so your focus is strictly on the hum-and-hiss reduction; iZotope RX-type clarity is the benchmark I have in mind. Once the noise is gone, I’d like a warm, vintage-style mix. The song ends with forty-two seconds of piano trading licks with an accordion; please bring the accordion forward a touch so it shines against the piano without overpowering it. The vocal already has reverb printed—just ride the fader and catch any inconsistencies rather than adding more. Turnaround is tight: I’d like the final master (and the cleaned vocal stem) back to me within a few hours of project acceptance. Deliver the mix as a 24-bit WAV plus a reference MP3, along with the cleaned vocal stem and the full-resolution instrumental stem post-master.
