I already own the gear for my new show—Shure dynamic microphones and a pair of small-format mixers—but I need everything wired, gain-staged, and ready to record. The job is straightforward: assemble the signal chain, dial in healthy levels on the mixers, eliminate any hum or hiss, and run a quick test recording so I know the rig is solid before my first episode. You will be working only with the hardware; the recording software is installed and will be launched just for monitoring and a short capture check. I’ll have all cables, stands, shock mounts, and pop filters on hand. Deliverable • Fully connected microphone-to-mixer setup, labelled and tidy • Channels balanced, EQ and basic compression set for spoken-word clarity • One clean, clipped-noise-free test file saved to confirm everything is functioning Acceptance is complete when the test playback is clear and both Shure mics route to their own tracks at proper levels with no unwanted noise.
