I've built this remix in which I've included a :45 sec dance portion in the middle. It has just basic beats and lots of subtle audio clips (laser beams, glasses breaking, dices rolling...) It sounds a little weird, but that is intented as the audio clips are supposed to interact with the vocals on top. Those vocals are meant to sound very DJ-ish, as they're supposed to be just a few phrases (some from the song, and some from the original version that didn't make it into the remix,) have lots of repetition to-to-to-to sou--To sound ve-sound ve-sound very-ry-ry-ry-ry D-D-DJ-ish, and just to "make sense" with the audio clips in the background so you can tell this part was planned, not just some "DJ-ing improvising"... Audio filters/effects planning for the still-to-be-recorded vocals to fit the audio clips in the back better, is a plus. I'm re-recording the whole song, we're not using the original version's vocals, so that would give you more creative freedom.
I will provide original track, remix track, audio clips solo track, and phrases/words to be used. I'll expect a little "lyrics" text file with the word-per-word (or letter-per-letter) "transcript" of what I would record, and a little audio file with your voice over that part so I can hear what it's going to sound like and how that would interact with the audio clips. I wouldn't care about the quality of your singing nor the quality of the audio I receive as long as I can just hear what it's supposed to sound like. It doesn't even need to be edited for the vocal repetitions (you can just sing them out: sing the-sing the-em-em-out) and it doesn't need to have the filters you've planned for them applied to it. Those would be enough as a general idea for certain part, no need for specifics (like 5.3 units of X Audio Effect, with "(Robotic voice,)" "(whispered/subtle/lower volume,)" "(spoken,)" etc., would be enough.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE: only apply if you have something similar you've done that I can take a look at, I need to know we are on the same page. Please do not send copy/paste bids--I can't tell by how many years of experience you got, or from hearing unrelated projects, if you know what kind of mood I'm going for. Thank you very much.
The lyrics for the song are in Spanish and in Japanese (in the same song, not in separate versions.) Translations would be provided of course.
I'm attaching a zip file with 10 little MP3 files so you get an idea of the type of resources you'd have and what I'd need you to do. You have the Remix's ~:45 Dance Interlude base (DanceInterlude.mp3--this MP3 file starts 5 seconds before (coming from the chorus) and ends 5 seconds after the dance interlude (into a rap.)) These are the suggested phrases (from the original version)
1.mp3 "Dame, quiero" whispered in the BG ("Dame, quiero"="Give me, I want"="Give it up, I want it")
2.mp3 Both "Dame, quiero" (Sp) and "Dame. Dame. Dame, kiero" (Jp.) No need to be used together as in this MP3.
3.mp3 Japanese numerals. In MP3: "Ichi, ni, san." Not in MP3: "Shi, Go, Roku, Nana, Hachi, Kyuu, Juu..."
4.mp3 "Tarita" (Jp, "That's enough,") (ignore "Tú no sabes amar") "Yokunai" (Jp, "That's no good,") (ignore "Tocar una vez más,") and "Yabai" (Jp, "Danger.") "Tarita," "Yokunai," and "Yabai" are the ones you can use. Ignore the Spanish in between.
6.mp3 "Kokekokko." (Jp, "Cock-a-doodle-do"--"Quiquiriquí" in Spanish)--great for stuttering.
7.mp3 Two resources here: 1. "Sexy! Sexy!" 2. "¡Dame, quiero más! (2x)" (Sp, "Give me, I want more!") Must use.
8.mp3 Both "Butsu butsu!" and "Shiku shiku!" (Ignore the "iuna yo" in between.) Both are Japanese for crying sounds, kind of like *snif,* but as in more active crying.
9.mp3 "Sou, ne?" (Jp, kind of like "I know, right?")
What all this is about, is placing these resouces over the dance interlude in a cool, creative, "dancey" way, with lots of stuttering and repetition. No actual editing would be involved. This is just a base for me, so I know what I need to sing when I go into the studio. The text will be just a trascription of what it should be (i.e. Se-se-sexy. Ichi. Se-se-sexy. Ni. Sexy. Ni-ni.") The audio would be just a low-quality, no-real-production, webcam-mic kind of recording, just so I can hear a "preview" of how it will sound to both see if I like it, and to know how I should be singing it.
You'll receive full versions and full translations once awarded. Basically, any lyrics are game if they work (like maybe an "aspiración/desesperación/perdición" (aspiration/desperation/doom) combo taken from the chorus, or "Kintama doko ni tsuiteru no" (Jp, "Where are your golden balls hanging at?"="You ain't got no balls?")) Thanks!
Any questions, please let me know.
