Freelance Embedded Firmware Engineer – MSP430 Expert Required We are seeking a highly experienced embedded firmware engineer with strong expertise in the Texas Instruments MSP430 microcontroller platform for a professional product development project. This role is strictly for engineers with proven hands-on MSP430 experience. Please do not apply if your experience is only with Arduino, ESP32, STM32 basics, or hobby-level embedded development. Project Scope: 1. The selected freelancer will work on firmware development, debugging, optimization, and hardware interfacing for an MSP430-based embedded system. 2. The hardware setup has to be accessed remotely. Applicants must be comfortable working in a remote embedded development workflow. Experience with: 1. Bare-metal firmware development 2. Timer modules and interrupt systems 3. Low-power modes and battery-operated systems 4. Peripheral driver development 5. Hardware bring-up and debugging 6. Ability to read datasheets and debug independently Familiarity with: 1. Code Composer Studio (CCS) 2. JTAG/SWD debugging tools 3. Oscilloscope and logic analyzer usage If interested, please include the following in your proposal: 1. MSP430 variants you have worked on 2. Brief description of previous MSP430 projects 3. Tools/debuggers you use 4. Examples/GitHub/photos/videos if available 5. What was the most difficult MSP430-related bug or hardware issue you have debugged, and how did you solve it? Please note: Applications without MSP430 experience will not be considered.

Respectfully, the MSP430 is a well-documented 16-bit MCU with a mature C/C++ toolchain. Any engineer who can read a datasheet, write bare-metal peripheral drivers, configure timer interrupts, and manage low-power modes on one microcontroller can do the same on the MSP430. The architecture differences don't justify ruling out engineers who haven't specifically touched that variant. That said, I'll be upfront: I haven't worked on MSP430 in a production context. Here's what I have done that's directly relevant. I recently completed a remote embedded firmware engagement for a German client (Xenia Espresso GmbH) from India, developing on the ESP32 platform, bare-metal ESP-IDF, not Arduino. The work involved peripheral driver development, timer and interrupt configuration, low-power operation, and hardware bring-up over a remote workflow with no physical access to the device. Debugging was done through serial logs, JTAG, and logic analyzer captures shared over video. I'm comfortable working blind on hardware I can't touch. For tooling: I use GDB-based debugging (OpenOCD, J-Link), logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and can adapt to CCS given a day. My GitHub has several projects if you want to review code quality directly. If you need someone who's billed 200 hours on MSP430 specifically, I'm not that person. If you need someone who can read the family guide, set up CCS, and have working firmware running in under a week, I can do that. Your call. Regards Rajesh P Unartech Solutions

Hi, I will develop, optimize, and debug your bare-metal MSP430 firmware using Code Composer Studio and JTAG tools within your remote hardware setup. My experience with the MSP430F5529 and MSP430G2553 variants includes configuring low-power modes, advanced timer interrupts, and peripheral drivers for battery-operated systems. I resolve complex hardware conflicts, such as nested interrupt race conditions, by analyzing register states directly through logic analyzers and datasheets. You will receive production-ready, highly optimized C code tailored precisely to your product specifications. Best regards,

I will answer your questions directly. 1- MSP430F5529 chip on the F5529LP KIt - I have it now. 2- most of my complex projects were not on the MSP but on an STM32 which inlcuded - Custom Schedulers. - Custom SPI drivers. - CAN interface. - HAL layers or multiple sensors. - HAL layers for actuators. 3- eZ-FET lite onboard debugger on F5529LP KIt, I also used JTAG debuggers but with other non TI chips. 4- I can not show any of my large Bar Metal projects because they are IP or NDA protected. 5- The most diffcult part of working with MSP430 is managing clock-to-VCORE dependencies (Power Management Module), they cause a lot of hidden bugs. About my relevant experience : I am an embedded systems engineer with 5 years of corporate experience building high quality automotive software. My core experi
