We are building an investment fund which aims at acquiring family owned businesses and help them to grow / professionalise. It is a private equity kind of fund but with flexibility over the detention period (usually 5 years, we would aim for 7 or 8), low debt levels to avoid complicated financial engineering and top notch support to the management teams of the companies. We want to take care of people, be selective on the industries (make sure they are sustainable in a way), bring expertise for ex on digital transformation.
We have been looking for names. First idea was Clover Capital as clover is a great symbol of prosperity. Unfortunately it already exists. Our latest one is - I forgot the name - the translation of to plough in latin but we do not like it :-) The complexity is that we need to include in the name something that evokes the fact it is a fund : something Private Equity or somthing PE or sg Capital or sg Equity - not a necessity but a standard within the competitive landscape. Also of course the URL needs to be available... We will be operating in France, Germany and UK
