We are a smallish bookkeeping /BI company that provides BI services to a number of small businesses in Australia. At the moment we export their information out of Xero, MYOB (accounting packages) into Excel and Access and from there we import it into Tableau for visualisation.
We use an ODBC for Xero and other software for MYOB export.
This system is slow and cumbersome and I believe there are faster and more effective ways of extracting and storing the data so tableau has easy access to the data. The data is only exported once a month and then visualised but I would like to create the infrastructure so that we could offer a live service.
My current needs is for you to provide me with a solution on how this can best be achieved.
Once we have determined the best structure I would like to implement it with your assistance and maintain it on a monthly basis.
