Write a simple C++ program and a [login to view URL] file to compile it. A system running Ubuntu will be used to control the position of a motor by sending commands to a motor control unit. The motor control unit is a microprocessor that accepts and responds to ascii commands. A C++ program is required to read and write ascii commands to a usb port (/dev/ttyTMCM) to communicate with the motor control unit. This project consists of writing the C++ program and a [login to view URL] file to build the executable. A specification has been drafted that outline the desired code in detail and directly specifies the format of the ascii commands to the motor control unit and replys from the motor control unit. Knowledge of microprocessor control via usb is desired.
