We are a printing company looking to introduce the ability to produce database driven variable data printing projects that include elements of text that look like true handwriting (i.e.: there will be slight variations in letters between one and the next - meaning that for instance one letter a may not look exactly like EVERY other a in the piece, but still be in the same handwriting style.)
We work on both PC and Macintosh using all of the standard Graphic Design products (Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXPress, and some Microsoft products as well.) We currently use Printable's FusionPro software to create the variable data projects, but may be switching to another package in the future.
Ideally, we would like to be able to use any of our programs to generate the handwriting, preview results on screen, generate PDF proofs for the client to sign off on, and then be able to print to any of our digital printers.
Project may include creation of a handwriting font (or several different fonts) - but this is something we could outsource to someone else if the candidates do not have the ability to create fonts as well.
