My client has a football scoring game application which is
console-based and is written in C++ using Visual Studio, but needs to be recompiled for Linux. They want someone who can read the code (over 500,000 line, possibly more..), and document all the API calls, since the application will allow others to write plug-ins into their system. Strict confidentiality agreements will have to be signed before we can share any of the copyrighted code.
The end result will be a technical programmers guide which will be made available to development companies. The final document needs to be properly laid out with index, table of contents, and a detailed API reference for handy lookup. Any experience in helping to transfer this written document to a handy online reference guide with hyper links would be an asset.
Expertise in writing technical documentation is key, as well as solid experience in reading C++ code, especially other people's work. Before we sign up, we will need to see demonstrable experience in terms of technicals documentation, etc. Please send any and all references through PMB.
This is something that you can either do or not do.. There's really no middle ground. We need to find great technical documenters out there.
