I want an Internet Explorer add-in and an install that adds a menu and several menu items to the right click context menu that appears when one highlights text in Internet Explorer 6 and 7. The menu would say "Search Assistant" and have sub menus of "Search", "Search All", "Options", "About", and "Visit site". The Search would open a new IE window or tab (depending on IE version), and submit the selected text for search. The Search All, would do the same, but for a set of search engines. The Options would allow the user to specify the default search engine among the search engines listed. The listed engines would be google, yahoo, ask, msn, and aol. If Search all is used, then a search request would be submitted to all of these engines. Separate windows or tabs would open for each. The about would display an about dialog with a link to my site. The visit site menu item would take them to my site. Every 20 uses, the user would be asked to visit my site. The install should be simple and automatic. And un-install is also needed.
Minor modifications to the specs above are likely and should be covered in your bid. Funds will be placed in escrow. Project will need to be completed within 3 weeks of acceptance.
I use AOL and Yahoo messengers and expect to have discussions on the project with the programmer via these approachs. I'm online a lot, so time zone is not an issue.
A copy of the source code for the program, the install and the un-install will be needed at the end of the project. All rights to the code will transfer at the end of the project when payment is made. This is considered a work for hire.
Additional projects similar to this are planned and the programmer doing this job will be the preferred programmer for those jobs.
