I need a program for Windows which can pull data from a few .csv files. These are files that contain information of licensed professionals in the State. The State updates these .csv files every week, so ease of updating is a must.
In addition to the .csv files, I also need to be able to add new contacts as well as import existing ones from Microsoft Outlook.
I would like it to be designed similar to Outlook, meaning you have the list of people in the top half and a detail view in the bottom. In this detail view I need a space for comments. I also need a space to add a telephone number. Finally I need a "Status" drop-down field. I will also need to be able to search for the various fields.
Naturally, I will need the ability to sort the data by the various variables.
I will also need the data to be formatted to be printed as mailing labels, envelopes and put the peoples' names in letters. I will also need to print lists.
There are certain fields which need to look different to the end-user, what I mean is that in the .csv file, there is a field for License Status, for instance, and the Status is "A" however this needs to be displayed as "Active."
The program will be for a single computer in an office so all the files can be stored locally in that computer, however in the future the need to put the files in the server might arise.
