I have a custom-built NinjaTrader 8 indicator that is currently locked inside a compiled .dll. The tool generates buy/sell signals driven by slope and crossover logic and also reads plots from other indicators. I now need the exact same behaviour in an open-source .cs file so I can study and extend the code. You will receive the existing .dll and any accompanying files. Your job is to extract or rewrite the logic into a clean, well-commented NinjaScript (.cs) that compiles without errors in the current NT8 release and produces identical chart output and alerts. Deliverables • One .cs file that compiles in NinjaTrader 8 without external dependencies • Functionality and visual output matching the original .dll on default test data • Brief note explaining any sections that required interpretation or refactoring I will validate by loading the new script side-by-side with the original and confirming that timestamps, signals, and displayed values line up tick-for-tick.

Hi, — this is a reconstruction and parity-testing problem more than a simple code conversion, and that distinction matters if you want tick-for-tick alignment in NinjaTrader 8. The real engineering risk is hidden state: plot dependencies, bar update timing, and any implicit handling inside the compiled indicator that can shift signals by a bar or alter alert timing. I usually structure this kind of work as behavior capture first, then deterministic rewrite, then side-by-side validation. The closest work in my background is NYSE Day Trading Bot Development, where signal logic and market-timing behavior had to be implemented precisely, and Custom Feature Development & Integration, which involved stepping into existing systems, analyzing current behavior, and handing back maintainable code. For this job, I’d separate the effort into three layers: inspect the DLL-facing behavior, map the signal and plot dependency flow, and then rebuild the NinjaScript with clean comments and no external dependencies. Where the original behavior is ambiguous, I’d isolate those sections and document the interpretation clearly. I approach systems like this with output-diff validation against the original: timestamps, displayed values, crossover events, and alert conditions, not just visual similarity. If useful, I can first sketch the validation approach I’d use to confirm parity before the rewrite begins. Thanks, Hercules

Hi,I can help with this NinjaTrader 8 indicator conversion, provided that you own the DLL or have the right to modify/rebuild it. I have experience working with NinjaScript / NT8 indicators, including crossover logic, slope-based signals, custom plots, alerts, Draw objects, multi-indicator references, and matching indicator output bar-by-bar against an existing version. For this task, my approach would be: 1. Review the existing DLL behaviour and any accompanying files/settings. 2. Load the original indicator on default test data and document its plots, signals, alerts, parameters, and visual output. 3. Rebuild the logic into a clean NinjaTrader 8 .cs indicator. 4. Match the slope, crossover, external plot-reading logic, signal timestamps, and alert behaviour as closely as possible. 5. Test the new .cs file side-by-side with the original DLL until the values and chart signals align. 6. Deliver a clean, commented .cs file plus a short note explaining what was rebuilt or interpreted. Rate: $10/hour Estimated total: around 10–20 hours, approximately $100–$200 depending on the DLL complexity and how many external indicator plots it reads. I can start with the first hour immediately to inspect the indicator behaviour and confirm the rebuild path before continuing with the full conversion.

Two details stood out: the signals are driven by slope and crossover logic, and the indicator also reads plots from other indicators, which is the part most rewrites get wrong. Your real test is tick-for-tick parity, not just "it compiles," so I'd treat the cross-indicator plot reads as the highest-risk piece from day one. Here's how I'd approach it: 1. Decompile the .dll and map the OnBarUpdate flow, the slope/crossover math, and every external plot it pulls in. 2. Rewrite it as one clean, commented NinjaScript .cs with no external dependencies, matching plot names and signal conditions exactly. 3. Run it side-by-side with your .dll on the default test data and reconcile any drift until timestamps, signals, and values line up. I work daily in C# and have done reverse-engineering and behavior-matching refactors where the bar is "identical output," not "close enough," which is the same standard you're validating against. Done = the new .cs loads in the current NT8 release with no errors and produces the same signals and displayed values as the original on your test data, plus a short note on anything I had to interpret. Quick question so I scope correctly: is the .dll obfuscated, and do you have the source for the other indicators it reads from, or only the compiled outputs on the chart? Waqar

1. Do you own the DLL or have written authorization to reverse-engineer it? 2. Can you provide sample charts, settings, alerts, and dependent indicator plots for comparison? I can perform a clean-room C# rewrite based on observed inputs and outputs, then compare both versions side-by-side in NinjaTrader 8. The main risks are hidden dependencies, intrabar calculation differences, inaccessible parameters, and proprietary licensing protections. I would begin with one signal path as a validation milestone before reproducing the complete indicator.

I will convert your NT8 DLL logic into a clean NinjaScript (.cs) that compiles in the current NT8 release and reproduces the same chart output and alerts. With strengths in Software Development, Debugging, and Technical Documentation, I will provide thorough inline comments to help you study and extend the code later. Deliverables: a single .cs file with no external dependencies, plus a brief notes section describing interpretation decisions or refactoring. The solution will be validated by side-by-side comparison on default data to ensure tick-for-tick parity of timestamps, signals, and displayed values. I will preserve the slope and crossover logic and the indicator reads from other indicators. I will structure the code for readability and maintainability and include a short note explaining decisions. Could you share any NT8 version constraints, data feed configurations, or edge cases I should preserve to ensure exact tick-for-tick parity with the original .dll? Questions for you to refine scope: - What NT8 version and build are you targeting? - Are there any edge cases or data feeds I should preserve to guarantee tick-level parity? - Do you have preferred naming conventions for the NinjaScript indicators or a specific project structure?

Hello, I work with NinjaTrader 8 and have experience reverse-engineering compiled indicators and rewriting them in clean NinjaScript C#. For this project I'd decompile the .dll using ILSpy, reconstruct the slope and crossover logic, and rewrite it as a native .cs file that compiles cleanly in the current NT8 release with no external dependencies. Visual output and alert behaviour will match tick-for-tick against the original on your test data. Deliverables: one clean, well-commented .cs file + a brief note on any sections that required interpretation or refactoring. Timeline: 3–5 days from receiving the .dll.

Hello, Reverse-engineering a compiled .dll into readable NinjaScript is mostly about reconstructing the slope and crossover logic cleanly - the tricky part is when the indicator reads plots from other indicators, since those references need to be wired up correctly in the .cs or the signals diverge on edge bars. I would decompile the .dll, rewrite the logic into a clean well-commented .cs file, and validate it side-by-side against the original until timestamps and signals match tick-for-tick on your test data. Does the indicator reference other built-in NT8 indicators or custom ones you also have access to? Happy to take a look at this. I can start right away.

Hello, I built many large scale NinjaTrader 8 indicators and algorithmic trading solutions similar before and I would love if I get the chance to work on your project. I can analyze the provided NT8 .dll, reconstruct the underlying NinjaScript (.cs) logic, and deliver a clean, well documented implementation that compiles on the latest NinjaTrader 8 release while matching the original signals, plots, and alerts as closely as possible. Where direct extraction is not feasible, I will carefully recreate the behavior through detailed testing and comparison. One question I have is does the .dll contain any licensing, obfuscation, or external assembly references that influence the signal generation, or is all trading logic self contained within the indicator itself? Can we connect over a chat to discuss more about the project? Best regards, Dev S.
