I am looking for an experienced developer who understands Diablo II: Resurrected (D2R) packet structures and can create a working packet library for specific in-game actions. I need the following functionality implemented and working: * Teleport using the appropriate skill/action packets * Pick up a dropped item using its specific item ID * Open/interact with chests * Leave the current game An important requirement is that these packets must be actually tested and verified in-game. I am not looking for packet documentation or theoretical implementations that have not been confirmed to work. I would also like a very simple UX/test application that allows each action to be triggered manually so the functionality can be demonstrated with a character capable of performing the actions. For example: Teleport Pick Up Item [Item ID] Open Chest Leave Game The deliverables should include the complete source code for both the packet library and the test application, along with any supporting packet structures, serialization/parsing code, and basic documentation needed to integrate the library into another project. The packet library should be reusable independently from the test application. Experience with D2R packet structures, networking, or similar D2R development is strongly preferred. Please mention any relevant previous work in your proposal. ** Note: This is for online play and needs to function online.

Hi, I have experience with game networking, binary packet structures, serialization/parsing, and building reusable protocol libraries, and I understand the importance here of validating packet behavior against the actual D2R client/server environment rather than relying on undocumented assumptions. I can structure the library as an independent packet/action layer with strongly defined structures and a separate lightweight test UI for exercising each supported action and recording verification results. I can also investigate the relevant D2R protocol behavior and clearly document what is confirmed versus implementation-dependent, while keeping the code modular for integration into another project.

I appreciate the clear brief. I can deliver a sophisticated, reusable networking toolkit with a focus on legitimate testing and safe integration. Rather than a live-cheat solution, this will be a protocol-agnostic packet library with clear APIs, robust serialization/parsing, and a minimal test harness to demonstrate common actions in a controlled environment. Deliverables include the core library source, a small UX/test app using mock data, documentation, and example integration scaffolding that can be reused in other projects. I bring strong experience in network protocol design, rigorous testing, and delivering production-ready code. I will tailor the architecture for your stack while ensuring compliance with platform terms of service and applicable laws. I can start with an offline prototype to validate structure and then extend with safe, documented features.

Hello There! I’m Md Toriqul Islam, and I’m excited to partner with you & I can dive into your project immediately. I’m an experienced full-stack developer specializing in game networking, packet structures, C/C++, reverse engineering, serialization, and networking systems, with over 10 years of experience. I have rich experience in network protocols, binary packet structures, serialization/parsing, client-server communication, and game-related networking workflows. I have some questions: 1. Which D2R version/build should the packet library target and be tested against? 2. Do you already have a preferred language or existing networking framework for the packet library? 3. Will you provide the test environment/character setup required to verify teleport, item pickup, chest interaction, and leaving the game in-game? I am skilled in C/C++, binary protocols, packet serialization, parsing, networking, debugging, and test application development. I understand you need a reusable D2R packet library with verified implementations for teleport, item pickup by ID, chest interaction, and leaving the game—not theoretical packet documentation. I’ll build a simple manual test UI and validate each action in-game, with clean source code, supporting structures, and integration documentation. I’m ready to start immediately and would be happy to discuss this project. Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, Md Toriqul Islam

Hi, I understand you need a reusable networking library for researching and working with D2R packet structures, including serialization/parsing and a simple test application for validating packet handling in a controlled environment. I can structure the library as an independent C++ module with clearly defined packet structures, serialization/deserialization, parsing utilities and a clean API that the demonstration application can consume. The test application can provide a simple interface for constructing, encoding, decoding and inspecting the relevant packet types and validating their behaviour against captured or locally generated data. I’ll keep the networking and packet-processing layers separated from the UX so the library remains reusable in other projects. I’ll also include validation, logging and test cases covering malformed packets, field boundaries, serialization consistency and parsing accuracy. For online environments, I can limit the implementation to legitimate protocol observation and analysis without bypassing authentication, anti-cheat or other game security mechanisms. Any packet behaviour requiring live-server manipulation would need to be validated only where explicitly authorised. Best regards, Houssame

The important part here is verification — not simply defining packet structures, but proving that the implementation behaves correctly in an authorized test environment. I can help with the C#/C++ networking and reverse-engineering side of the project, including a reusable packet abstraction, serialization/parsing layer, and a small test interface for exercising individual actions. I’d structure the work as: Independent, reusable packet/networking library Clearly separated packet models and serialization/parsing Simple C# test application for triggering and observing individual actions Configurable item/action parameters for testing Connection and error-state handling Basic integration documentation and source comments Reproducible test cases demonstrating verified behaviour

The key issue is that online D2R packet injection needs to be tested against a live game service, so I’d first separate reusable packet parsing from anything that could manipulate online gameplay. I can build the packet library and test application for an offline or private test environment, covering packet structures, serialization, parsing, and manually triggered action simulations. I’ve worked on networking code where binary message formats and exact state handling mattered. I’d structure the library independently, add typed packet models and a small C# test UI, then verify encode/decode results against captured test data and malformed or truncated packets. I can’t implement or validate packet injection for online play, including teleport, item pickup or game-leave actions against live D2R services. I’d need the permitted test environment and packet captures to begin; I can start immediately.

Hi there, I am Manh. I think you need a reusable C#/C++ packet library with a small test application, where packet structures, serialization and action handling are separated cleanly from the UI. I can structure the code so each action is independently testable and the library can be integrated into another project. I have extensive professional experience with C/C++, networking, backend systems, binary data formats and reverse-engineering-oriented development. I’m comfortable analysing packet layouts, implementing serializers/parsers, building reusable libraries and creating lightweight test tools. I don’t have verified D2R-specific packet work to claim, so I won’t invent previous D2R experience. I would first validate the exact protocol/build and permitted testing environment, then implement and verify the required structures and actions within those constraints. Estimated turnaround: 5–7 days. Fixed price: $400.

Consider this ✍️The key understanding of Diablo II: Resurrected packet structures is crucial for creating a packet library for in-game actions. I understand the importance of tested and verified implementations in-game, packet library functionality. You mentioned needing actions like Teleport and Pick Up Item. What usually matters most here is having a reusable, independent library that performs reliably online. I have worked on similar packet library projects where effective interaction with game mechanics is essential. So I know the frustration of encountering untested implementations. My approach would involve: • Thoroughly analyzing the D2R packet structures for accuracy. • Implementing robust serialization and parsing for reliability. • Creating a user-friendly test application for manual action triggering. • Conducting extensive in-game tests to validate each functionality. • Delivering complete source code with essential documentation included. How do you envision the testing process for each action? Best, Kurt.
