Events and Services with REST API

ES is a module of a document and process management software suite, that allows the interoperability between product modules and third-party applications through RESTful technology. Additionally, subscribed systems and users can receive notifications of system events, allowing the possibility of asynchronous interaction with other systems. The project involves 70 web methods. Twenty (20) must be developed from scratch in C# using .NET Framework 4.0. Ten methods must be reworked, to switch from .NET DataSet and Visual Basic .NET to a common DataType or a list of DataTypes in C#. The project involves the testing and the delivery of the testing scripts for each of the 70 methods, including the 40 that will experience only change from WCF technology to REST. Although ES is a core system function, used to interoperate across the multiple modules of the system, ES is also an optional and licensed feature, used by customers who use it to integrate the ECM functionalities to their legacy systems. Licensing is performed and controlled by another pre-existing licensing application, beyond the scope of this document. All the documentation related to these services is of vital importance and must maintain a detailed description of the contracts. The documentation published in Microsoft help format (.chm). Every change introduced in the project must be detailed in the documentation. The documentation must be kept up to date during the project. The company will provide the necessary source code, .NET solutions, projects, fully functional configuration installers, and trial licenses needed to complete the project. Expected Deliverables: • Source code. • Test report (see annexed document). • SOAP UI Testing Projects (see annexed document). The company will not accept partial deliverables or provide any payment for portions of the project. Contractual Requirements: Standard subcontracted project contract including: • All Intellectual Property Rights of the code and its derivates are property of the hiring company. • Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Project management • A technical contact will be available to answer questions from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. GMT -3 • The project leader will have a weekly follow-up meeting with developers to discuss progress and work quality. • 24 hours before the weekly meeting, the developer must send all updated code and documentation for review, to allow timely and informed feedback. • The schedule and agenda of the weekly meeting and any additional meetings that are necessary will be agreed at least 24 hours in advance. • The company will provide development guidelines that the developer is expected to follow unless justified and mutually agreed. Additional guidelines may be provided during weekly meetings. Confidentiality Any source code, documentation, manual, or information of any kind delivered to the developer by the hiring company is confidential and is provided exclusively to perform the necessary activities to complete this project and must be deleted immediately after the project concludes, is terminated by any of the parties by any cause, or is suspended for a period longer than 30 days. The hiring company maintains all the intellectual property rights for the provided code, its modification, extensions, and any derivative work that directly or indirectly results from the execution of this project. Copying, transferring, reproducing, decompiling, or reverse engineering, the software, its code, or any document, recording, image, or file without the explicit permission of the company is forbidden. Failing to comply with this clause implies a breach of the non-disclosure agreement with severe legal and economic consequences for the developer.
