We've just moved into a new unit which has a large L shaped garden.
At the end of last year I spent a period of time with a conservation centre for birds of prey in melbourne.
Post completing the course I am now wanting to establish a suitable enclosure on my property to house a large bird.
I need to get council approval to construct a 6m long x 3m wide x 3m tall aviary to required standards and have council approval to build prior to finalising my keepers license.
I would like the structure to be a lightweight ghs steel frame with zoo-grade aviary mesh covering the bulk of it and a colourbond weather proof section for lofting and nesting.
I was hoping to have the end result looking something like the picture attached.
I have attached the strata plan of your for your reference and a rough dimensions plan of aviary. I think like pictured above there'll need to be a few upright beams down the length of the structure and one lower down running horizontally to attach the colourbond to.
We were looking at putting a double entry door inside the area so the bird doesn't fly out (we need one by regulation)
please see other picture attached for example of double door.
I need the floor plan.. site plan and 4 side elevations.. the frame of the aviary would be constructed using rhs steel bars.
