Job Description We are a steel fabrication company in the UK looking for a mechanical engineer with experience in pressure vessel design to produce calculation report for some pressure vessels we will be manufacturing Provide engineering calculations for: • Shell thickness • Head thickness • Nozzle reinforcement checks (main nozzles) • Hydrotest stress verification • Confirmation that the vessel falls within SEP classification We are not requesting a certified design package — only a competent engineering calculation report for fabrication verification. A calculation report including: • Assumptions and design basis • Material allowable stresses used • Formula references / method • Required shell thickness • Required head thickness • Nozzle reinforcement checks • Hydrotest verification • Summary of results Files Provided We will provide: • General arrangement drawings (PDF) • Basic vessel dimensions • Operating conditions Please provide examples of previous pressure vessel work if available.
