Job Title CAD Drafting – Steel Fabrication Drawings for Window Transport Stillage (DWG / DraftSight) ⸻ Project Description We have designed a steel stillage used to transport assembled aluminium windows and doors. The concept design, dimensions, and fabrication brief are complete. We now require a CAD professional to convert this into a fully detailed fabrication drawing set suitable for workshop production and engineering certification. The drawings must open correctly in DraftSight / AutoCAD DWG format. This stillage will become a repeat production product, so accuracy, clarity, and consistency are critical. ⸻ Project Name MWDWS/014 – Aluminium Window Transport Stillage Drawing Series MWDWS/041 ⸻ Key Dimensions • Length: 6058 mm • Width: 2438 mm • Height: approx. 3000 mm • Payload: 3000 kg ⸻ Design Summary The stillage includes: • 125 PFC perimeter base • Flush deck with marine plywood and carpet • Forklift pockets located 2400 mm from each end • Central vertical rack • 50 × 50 RHS vertical members at 900 mm spacing • End posts 89 × 89 RHS • Webbing brace pattern between posts • Continuous round tie-down rod rail inside PFC • Four lifting lugs on top beam • Powder coated finish (RAL 6018) ⸻ Scope of Work The freelancer will convert the concept design into professional fabrication drawings. Required outputs: • DWG files compatible with DraftSight / AutoCAD • DXF export files • Full fabrication drawing set • Plan view • Side elevation • End elevation • Detail drawings including: • Forklift pockets • Tie-down rail • Deck construction • Lifting lugs • Rack bracing • Weld callouts and fabrication notes • Title block with revision control • Steel cut list • Material schedule Certification Requirements (Important) The stillage must be suitable for container-style handling and lifting, and the drawings must support engineering certification. The freelancer must have experience with, or be capable of preparing drawings for: • Lifting structures • Crane lifting lugs • Structural steel frames Preferred knowledge: • Container-style frames (ISO principles) • Lifting load cases • Structural detailing for certification Drawings must be suitable for engineering certification in Australia. File Requirements All drawings must: • Be in millimetres (mm) • Open correctly in DraftSight • Be delivered as DWG + PDF + DXF Preferred Skills • Steel fabrication drawings • Mechanical or structural drafting • DraftSight / AutoCAD • Workshop drawing experience Attachments Provided • Concept drawings • IFC construction brief • Render images TEST TASK (IMPORTANT) Before awarding the job, you will be asked to complete a small test. Test Brief: Draw a simple frame: • 2000 mm × 1000 mm • 100 × 50 RHS Include: • Plan view • Side elevation • Dimensions in mm • Basic title block Deliverables: • DWG file • PDF This is to confirm drawing quality and compatibility.
