I am building a proof-of-concept rover whose only job is to prove that controlled, repeatable motion is possible inside transformer oil. To make that happen I need a complete blueprint package—detailed engineering drawings rather than a simple overview—showing exactly how to propel, steer, and recover a small test vehicle submerged in this highly viscous fluid. Rather than propellers, tracks, or wheels, I want the craft to move by exploiting buoyancy. Your design should use the density difference between the rover and the oil to generate thrust and directional control. This should not create any bubbling in oil while movements. Critical elements of the buoyancy control system that must appear clearly in the drawings • Adjustable weights • Air / water pumps Everything else—housings, seals, electronics, tethering or wireless links—is up to you, so long as the rover can be driven on demand, stopped, turned, and brought back to its starting point without contaminating the oil. Deliverables 1. Complete set of CAD drawings (native + PDF) covering chassis, buoyancy modules, control surfaces, and sealing solutions. 2. Simulation or calculation notes that confirm stability, expected speed, and manoeuvrability in oil with a viscosity close to 15 cSt at 25 °C. 3. Bill of Materials with part numbers, suppliers, and realistic cost estimates so I can source everything immediately. 4. Short operation guide explaining start-up, trim adjustment, and safe retrieval. Acceptance will be based on clarity of the drawings, coherence of the buoyancy-driven propulsion concept, and the practicality of the BOM. If you have previous experience with underwater or high-viscosity robotics, that will help you hit the mark faster.
