Two things your brief leaves open, and they decide how long the session takes. First, discovery. You know Azure DevOps is in play but not what else. Before mirroring anything I'd run a quick inventory live in the session: an Azure Resource Graph query across the old subscription, plus a read of the pipeline YAML and its service connections. That lists every service the site actually touches in minutes, so we clone from a map instead of guessing. Second, the parts that never survive a naive clone: service connections, variable groups and Key Vault references are subscription-scoped, so they have to be recreated, not exported. Same for managed identities and RBAC assignments. A mirrored environment that skips these looks identical and fails on the first deploy.
