Network and systems expert

Job Summary: The Network and Systems Engineer will be a pivotal part of our IT team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise-level networks and systems. The ideal candidate is a strong-willed, task list achiever who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructures. Implement, manage, and troubleshoot devices from vendors such as Cisco, Mikrotik, Fortigate, Azure, HP, and Dell. Proactively monitor network performance and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system and network integration. Perform routine audits of systems and software. Document all configurations, changes, and proposed changes. Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance and training when necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering and system administration. Certifications from vendors such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Fortigate (NSE4, NSE7), or equivalent. Strong experience in cloud environments, specifically Azure. Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize competing demands. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Skills: Expert knowledge in networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, etc.) Experience in scripting and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python, etc.) In-depth understanding of network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and data encryption.
