I need a complete structural design for a brick-masonry gravity retaining wall in compliance with the relevant Indian Standards (primarily IS 1905, IS 456, IS 875 and, if seismic checks are warranted, IS 1893). The wall will be more than 2.5 m high and its purpose is to support an adjoining structure, so stability against overturning, sliding and bearing failure under moderate surcharge loads must be demonstrated. Please base the calculations on brick masonry with appropriate buttressing or keying, and specify any reinforcement, weep holes or drainage blankets that good practice dictates. You are free to use STAAD, Excel spreadsheets or hand-calculations as long as all steps are clearly shown and references to clause numbers are included. Deliverables • Design report with step-by-step calculations and safety factors • General arrangement and cross-section drawings (DWG + PDF) ready for site issue • Material and construction notes referencing the exact IS clauses • Brief method statement covering drainage and backfill sequence Acceptance will be based on a design check table matching IS code limits, clear CAD drawings and a concise summary of assumptions.
