Here's the short version: you'll need at least $20 USD (or the equivalent in your supported currency) available in your site wallet to bid on these projects. That balance can come from funds already in your wallet, deposits, or other credited amounts. For Clients — Bids on these projects come from freelancers who've put real skin in the game. Stronger signal, less noise, more confidence in who's actually serious. For Freelancers — A bidding pool where the people alongside you are equally committed. Less competition from drive-by bids, and more weight behind the proposals that get through. How it works - When you go to bid, your wallet balance is checked automatically. - $20 USD or more available? You bid as normal. - Below $20 USD? You'll see a banner on the project page letting you know, and the bid form will be hidden until your balance meets the requirement. What's not affected - Bids you've already placed stay valid. - Existing projects and Milestone Payments aren't affected. - Once your balance is back at or above the minimum, you can bid normally again.
