I need a full-fidelity physical simulation of the combustion stage in my current setup, with an emphasis on how the fuel–air mixture forms and what that means for overall emissions. The goal is clear: quantify mixing quality, predict pollutant formation, and highlight any design tweaks that will cut emissions before prototyping. You will start from geometry and operating parameters I will supply, build or clean up the mesh, then run the combustion and species-transport models through the relevant solver (ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM or an equivalent CFD package are all fine as long as you can justify the choice). Please include: • A brief outline of your modelling approach and assumptions before you run. • The completed model files, ready to open and rerun. • A results package: contour plots, key numerical trends (temperature, velocity, species mass fractions, NOx / CO predictions), and a short written discussion of what the data tells us about mixing efficiency and emission hotspots. • One set of recommendations backed by the simulation on how to improve the setup. I’ll consider the job finished once I can reproduce your results on my end and the discussion addresses the stated goals of mixing quality and emissions reduction.

Hi, As an Astronautical Engineer with a professional focus on high-energy propulsion systems and Species-Transport modeling, I am prepared to deliver a full-fidelity combustion simulation of your current setup. Why My Engineering Fits This Scope - I specialize in the deterministic modeling of high-pressure gradient environments. I will utilize ANSYS Fluent to run a combined Non-Premixed or Partially Premixed Combustion model integrated with a Species-Transport solver. - Drawing on my work with rocket engine physics and heat transfer, I approach emissions reduction as a function of combustion stability. I will highlight exactly where temperature peaks or poor fuel-air ratios lead to pollutant formation. - I maintain a "First-Time-Right" engineering philosophy. I will justify my choice of turbulence models and chemical mechanisms based on your specific operating parameters to ensure the results are both physically valid and reproducible. Proposed Plan - Defining the chemical kinetics, turbulence-chemistry interaction (e.g., Flamelet Generated Manifold), and boundary conditions. - Building a high-quality mesh with refinement in the flame zone and running the simulation to convergence. - Delivering contour plots of Species Mass Fractions, temperature, and velocity, alongside a numerical trend analysis of pollutant predictions. - Providing a set of backed recommendations on geometry or injector tweaks to enhance mixing efficiency. Best regards, Batuhan Akkova

Hi, This project fits well with my background — I’ve been working for ~5 years at the intersection of physics and software engineering, with a focus on simulation and numerical modeling. I can handle the full CFD workflow: starting from your geometry and conditions, building a clean mesh, and running combustion + species transport models in ANSYS Fluent or OpenFOAM (I’ll choose and justify the best option for your case). My approach is to keep things clear and reproducible: Define and document modelling assumptions upfront Run and validate the simulation (mixing, temperature, species, NOx/CO) Deliver ready-to-run case files Provide a concise results package with contour plots and key trends Add a short, practical discussion on mixing efficiency, emission hotspots, and how to improve the design The goal is not just results, but something you can rerun and build on. Happy to discuss your setup in more detail. Best, Szabolcs

I am an aerospace engineer with experience in CFD and fluid mechanics, so I can model fuel–air mixing and combustion with a focus on both accuracy and interpretation. Here is how I will approach it: • Clean and refine the geometry and generate a mesh suitable for reacting flows • Select appropriate combustion model (EDM, finite-rate, or hybrid depending on your case) • Set up species transport and pollutant models for NOx and CO • Define boundary conditions and operating parameters based on your system • Run simulations and validate convergence and stability You will get: • Complete model files ready to open and rerun • Contour plots for temperature, velocity, and species distribution • Emission predictions and mixing quality analysis • Short report explaining results and identifying hotspots • Practical recommendations to improve mixing and reduce emissions If you share geometry and operating conditions, I can review and propose the modeling approach before running the simulation.

Hello, i did the exact same thing for a combustion chamber of a turbofan. I did the design and Ansys Fluent simulation. Tell me if you want my help. Thanks!
