Commercial Fire Sprinkler Designer | Houston, TX

I need a skilled fire sprinkler designer to create a comprehensive sprinkler system. The Fire Sprinkler Designer is responsible for producing accurate, code-compliant fire system designs for commercial and residential projects. This role requires strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 13D, and 13R, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and consistent delivery of high-quality drawings suitable for permitting, installation, and inspection. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-directed, and experienced in coordinating with project managers, AHJs, Fire Marshals, and installation teams to ensure designs meet regulatory and project requirements. Floor Plan Design • Design the floor plan of the facility to scale • Make modification as needed after client review and approval Fire Sprinkler Design • Design fire sprinkler system layouts based on architectural floor plans and project specifications. • Apply NFPA 13, 13D, and 13R standards to ensure full code compliance. • Develop system designs suitable for: o Permit submission o Installation o Final inspections and closeout • Ensure designs align with hydraulic calculations, material specifications, and installation feasibility. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Proven experience designing fire systems. • Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 13D, and 13R. • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
