I have planned and estimated residential remodels for owners and small contractors, producing Scope Work, BOM and manhour estimates that owners used to award bids and track budget performance. My comparable work covered bathroom installs, kitchen cabinet layouts, panel exchanges, HVAC set installs, window and door installs and door framing. I will map each item to labor crews, material list, unit counts and realistic productive hours. I will start by confirming site assumptions and deliverables for each line item: 2 complete bathroom installations- tiles shower area only with sink and touket bowl; Kitchen installation - 14 cabinets 12x24x34; Electrical panel only installation no wiring needed; AC unit installation; Window installation 6qty 24x36 2qty 24x24; Interior doors installation 9 qty and 3qty closet double doors; Outside doors - 2 qty; Door framing installation - around 8qty door. That leads to a concise Scope Work, an itemized BOM with quantities and unit costs, and manhour estimate per activity with contingency notes. Approach: I will perform a short checklist-driven site confirmation (photos and measurements) then produce a one-page scope summary and an itemized estimate in spreadsheet format.
