First thing I'd do is set up a test Shopify store (or Gumroad, depending on what you want to charge in fees) and run a dummy purchase end to end so we can see exactly how instant download and delivery behaves before touching your real artwork. For downloadable illustrations I'd lean toward Gumroad or Shopify with a digital delivery app - both handle worldwide payments and secure, expiring download links.
