I have a long-lost network video recorder software (NVR) software that was created with my past team that I am no longer engaged with, back in 2015.
I believe I have the source code. and executable installer for windows, although I Closed the business for some time, I am now ready to bring it back bigger and better piece by piece.
How it operated before:
NVR (network video recorder) licensed per device you want to add to the software.
Need: I need to add licenses to the software to enable me to add IP cameras to the software? Max 127 cameras.
Prior Action: A remote server created and generated the license keys according to the system's need and used the mac address of the NIC card to bond them together when the server software called out to the remote server to verify.
1-Task for the developer: Remove the prior action regarding the licensing process and make it so there are 127 licenses available and enabled to add new cameras to the software.
Create a license key generator for the remote server and correct the software to call out the remote server we set in place to authenticate the license key generated for the need for the server and how many cameras it may need.
Once completed with 1st task.
2-Task for the developer: create source code with new feature and create executable installer file after completing to task, so I can add cameras to a new server every time with no issues.
Future work will be to add new models of devices and features to the software, with UI upgrade and mobile app upgrade if the developer can accomplish the first tasks and feels comfortable for the remaining tasks.
reminder, I have tried this before and had a lot of time wasted with an unskilled developer, take note. I will not pay you off this site, I will not communicate off this site. if there is a heavy fee for your services, I will help cover that fee as I understand and respect the process and your time and services.
