Hello there, for a project I am working I need someone that can help me to solve a problem about the pitch rotation.
Practically I need to get the rotations (Pitch and Roll) between two vectors, a linetrace forward vector and the Impact normal of the Hit Result, but in Absolute degree values (0 to 360°) referred to the UE4 Axis system. I tried to get it but actually the Pitch are clamped into the 2 semi-sphere, giving me the same value for two opposite rotations.
I read many documents and it seems that the problem is the Gimbal Lock, so that when I turn the motion controller around an axis then other rotations around other axis are also influenced, causing flipping and Pitch clamped to 0-90° and -90°-0. Probably the solution is use Quaternion to get and manage the rotations.
So I need someone that can code for me a very simple UE4 Blueprint in which there is a plane, a linetrace and that prints in an indipendent way the value of pitch and roll from 0 to 360.
