I have a fun project I'd like to get started. I just finished the Campaign Guide documentation and I'm ready to hire a Game Master. Before I dive into the project details, I want to be clear about what this project is:
* This a traditional tabletop roleplay (without the dice)
* The original content involved is copyrighted by me, so it cannot be shared with anyone
* There will be sexual content, violence, foul language and gore as part of the plot
* You will be the Game Master for this campaign
* Each roleplaying session will take place on chat (platform TBD) and will last anywhere between 1-3 hours.
For those of you who don't know what traditional tabletop roleplaying is I will attempt to explain it (more information in the guide). A great example that most people know is Dungeons & Dragons. In traditional roleplaying there are two parties (the Player and the Game Master). The Game Master is responsible for guiding the story, taking control of the game world, all characters besides the player's character, setting the scenes, and explaining the outcomes of the player's actions. The Player takes on one character and interacts with the world that the Game Master has presented to him. A very brief example is below, but there will be a longer one in the guide.
Game Master: You enter a large room full of tall glass windows that reveal the night sky. In its center a single lamp hangs over a pedestal holding up a silver box. A voice carries from the far side of the room somewhere in the dense shadows. "Choose your next steps wisely. They might be your last." What do you do?
Player: I look around trying to determine where they voice came from.
Game Master: it echoed around the room, but you couldn't pinpoint its direction.
Player: I slowly move towards the box.
This is how roleplaying works. In this version it will be text based and consist of scenes and actions as the Game Master and Player go back and forth navigating the story.
Now, for the roleplaying idea itself. I've always had a thing for superheroes and that has only been further inspired by the many films that have released over recent years. But they never fully explore the darker side and certainly not the sexual fantasies some viewers have. This campaign will be dark, following a character that seeks to rid the world of Superheroines who have taken it over and inflicted their laws upon the everyday person. Criminals are nearly extinct, hanging on by a thread and hiding from the many super teams that guard cities. It will be grim, it will be wild, and it will be exciting!
