Salesforce Configuration

We are currently a 2 year Group level user of Salesforce having difficulty with user adoption due predominantly by a screen layout and field configuration that is not user intuitive and friendly. We are contemplating upgrading to the Professional level. We currently have 10 users, but anticipate 12-18+/- in the near future.

We are a collections agency, 20 years old, operating in several states with DFW as our home office.

Our marketing and sales strategy is:

Outbound telemarketing to a database of records filtered on several criteria;

Telemarketer creates either a Lead or an Appointment for a sales person to contact

Record’s status changes from None/Nil appropriately per the above and is passed to the sales person – TM sends email if status Lead, sends email and creates Outlook appointment if status Appointment; sales person contacts Lead/Appointment telephonically or in person; responds to RFI (request for information) and/or meets (in person or telephonically) with Lead or Appointment – status should change (Lead to Appointment-Appointment to Responded RFI or to Not Interested; and so on – we’re basically following the sales cycle with Status changes and tasks until the Lead/Appointment either becomes a Client or Not Interested.

This is pretty basic stuff, I know. We do not have someone internally who we can dedicate significant amounts of time to design the proper page layout, record flow, reports and analytics. We don’t want to pay Salesforce an annual sum for what we believe would be just a few days worth of effort. We do have internal staff who can train users.
