Chrome Extension for Workflow Optimization

Experienced Chrome Extension Developer to Take Over and Enhance Existing Extension Project Description: We’re looking for a highly experienced Chrome Extension developer to take over ongoing development of an existing extension. The current product is functional, but we’re not satisfied with the quality of development and communication from our current team. What You’ll Be Doing: • Review and understand the current codebase • Take full ownership of ongoing development • Improve and expand the user interface (must have a good eye for UX/UI) • Integrate and connect new APIs (REST/GraphQL or others as needed) • Optimize performance, fix bugs, and clean up any messy code • Ensure extension remains compliant with Chrome Web Store guidelines • Maintain regular, transparent communication with progress updates and quick turnaround on questions Ideal Candidate: • 3+ years of Chrome Extension development experience • Strong frontend skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React or similar) • Deep understanding of Chrome Extension architecture: background scripts, content scripts, messaging, permissions, etc. • Experience integrating third-party APIs • Ability to work with existing codebases and improve them • Reliable, proactive communicator Nice to Have: • Experience publishing and maintaining extensions on the Chrome Web Store • Familiarity with OAuth flows and secure data handling • UX/UI design skills or ability to collaborate with a designer To Apply: • Share examples of Chrome Extensions you’ve built or contributed to • Briefly explain your process for taking over existing codebases • Let us know your availability and preferred communication methods
