Hello, For this kind of job, one wrong digit can ruin the whole sheet, so I’d treat the checking as part of the entry not something done at the end. Although I have done similiar work for a Spanish client visible in my profile. I can copy each table into Excel or Google Sheets with the same rows, columns, formatting and totals as the scans. After entering the figures, I’ll go back through them against the original pages to catch swapped digits, missing values or formatting mistakes. Hi - straightforward numeric transcription is the kind of work I do well. I'd keep the sheet laid out exactly like your printed tables (same column order, same row groupings) and type the figures in as-is rather than reformatting anything. Before returning each batch I re-add the row and column totals in a scratch column and compare them against the printed totals - that catches transposition errors far better than re-reading. Anything illegible on a scan goes into a short flagged list with the page and cell reference instead of me guessing. Deliverable is the Excel (or Sheets) file plus that note. Roughly how many printed pages are we talking about, and is there a deadline you're working to?
