Looking for a software program that will mine data from my paid [url removed, login to view] news service and export certain info into excel. The site is simply a long page of news reports one after another. What i need is a program that will analyze the information (primarily stock earnings coverage) and export it into excel. The information to be analyzed and in what way is as follows:
(sample news report to be analyzed by the software)
"ASTE Astec Industries beats by 9 cents (47.72 )
Reports Q2 (Jun) earnings of $0.83 per share, $0.09 better than the Reuters Estimates consensus of $0.74 revenues rose 18.3% year/year to $226.4 mln vs the $220.7 mln consensus. Co's backlog at June 30, 2007 was $228.9 mln vs $121.7 mln at June 30, 2006, an 88.1% increase. "We believe that our increase in sales reflects a strong economy, an overwhelming need for road improvements resulting in state initiatives to increase funding, market acceptance of new products, improving market share, increasing sales of recycling equipment and strong international sales. The international demand has steadily increased throughout 2007 which should be indicative of strong international sales for the third and fourth quarter of 2007 compared to 2006."
What i need the software to do is pull out the following information and organize it in excel:
Whether the company beats or misses earnings vs consensus estimates, and by what percentage. Also how much the earnings are up year over year.
Whether the company beats or misses revenues vs consensus estimates, and by what percentage. Also how much the revenues are up year over year.
I also would like to be able to put in additional simple search terms that the software would find and clip the passage around it and import it into excel or word.
I would like the information when exported into excel or word to be grouped by certain categories.
Here is an exact example of the format of the news reports the software will have to pull from:

The interface must be extremely user friendly as i am a complete non tech person. I am willing to purchase a third party software program if it is better for you to program it that way.
