I would like to a module that sits on top of a sniffer (linux or windows) and extracts only 2 different types of protocol packets. FTP and HL7, in real time. Then populates the MangoDB with these messages, with the time stamp. source IP + Port #; target IP +Port #. I perfer wireshark sniffer, But I am open to any good stable sniffer. If this works, you may get the few more protocols to do as well

Hello! I can help you with this task I have enough skills to do this job fast and reliable I have some techniques and software, which allows me to complete this task successfully Packet capture and filtering can be easily done with dumpcap or tshark. Then we need parse output to csv - to get only needed fields from capture file. When packets are parsed, we have to insert data to database (is MongoDB is mandatory?) using cron jobs, like every minute - to avoid delays, when you expect big volume of packets So this task will be a set of scripts, which do all tasks. That can be done using Linux (Ubuntu) command line bash I thought something about realization this task.. Just need to know a format of HL7 packets, flowing through network. It is used MLLP protocol, but need to know a version of it.. Best of all - if you can send a sample capture of this flow, like 200-300 packets
