Responsibilities:
Be a data-oriented steward who would actively engage in designing conceptual/logical/physical data models for Yara’s Farm & Field Data Products & APIs
Define and implement policies and procedures for the day-to-day operational and administrative management of meta-data and actual data in Yara’s Farm & Field Data Products
Work closely with product and data owners to build Data Catalog and establish controls
Work with product owners, data architect, data engineers, data scientists, API developers and product developers to ensure data best practices are designed and implemented proactively.
Compile requirements for data retention, archival, and disposal and ensure compliance with institutional policy and regulations
Ability to perform data classification. E.g., personal and sensitive data categories (GDPR) • Work with Yara’s Data Security, Privacy, Governance officers to ensure that new defined policies meet the company’s global policies and directives
Responsible for establishing data-quality metrics and requirements
Evaluate any suspected or actual breaches or vulnerabilities in confidentiality, integrity, or availability and report them to management and information security personnel
Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
You have 6+ years of prior experience in the role of data steward and meta-data management
across a variety of large data systems, including data discovery, data lineage etc.
You have deep understanding of conceptual/logical/physical data models
You have ability to design Entity Relationship models
Experience with data management and governance tools such as Collibra, AWS Glue, Apache
Atlas, Amundsen
