I have two SaaS sites running on AWS (EC2 + RDS + S3) that I now want moved to BinaryLane ([login to view URL]) . Both stacks are fairly standard—no exotic networking or custom AMIs—so this should mainly be a clean lift-and-shift and a bit of re-wiring. Scope of work • Spin up equivalent BinaryLane instances, copy the codebases, databases, SSL certificates and cron jobs, and confirm the apps are fully functional on their new hosts. • Point the DNS once we’ve run smoke tests and I give the green light. • Leave all image and document storage on AWS S3; update the apps so they continue to read/write to the same buckets without any broken links. • Recommend and integrate a cost-effective transactional email solution (Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun—whichever you feel gives the best value). I just need the templates sending reliably; no fancy marketing flows. Ideally, keeping the ci/cd connection from GitHub for future works done. Acceptance I’ll consider the job done when both sites load on BinaryLane over HTTPS, automated deployments still work, the S3 assets resolve correctly, and I see a successful test email hit my inbox via the chosen provider. If you’ve handled AWS migrations, BinaryLane or similar VPS setups, and can wire up transactional email services blindfolded, let’s get started. I already have a couple of quotes on this, so have an idea of what is good value, or not. Once these sites are moved, I have four more to be deployed to Binary Lane.

Hi, I'm Denis, a full-stack developer with experience handling AWS to VPS migrations and cloud infrastructure work. I understand you need a straightforward lift-and-shift to BinaryLane with minimal downtime. Here's my approach: First, I'll review your current setup and document configurations, dependencies, and environment variables. Then I'll spin up equivalent BinaryLane instances and deploy your codebases. I'll migrate your RDS database using standard backup and restore methods, update app configs to point to the new database, and test thoroughly. For S3, I'll ensure IAM credentials are configured correctly so your apps can access the same buckets without code changes. I'll set up your email service cost-effectively—likely SES given your AWS ecosystem—and configure your GitHub CI/CD pipeline to deploy to BinaryLane the same way it does now. Once smoke tests pass and you approve, DNS switches over. The key is methodical planning: matching instances, clean database migration, keeping S3 intact, and verifying everything before cutover. Since your stack is standard EC2 plus RDS, this is straightforward. I'll pay special attention to database migration timing and environment variable transfer to avoid any downtime. Getting the process right on these two migrations means the next four will move even faster. I can start right away. Let's connect and discuss the details. Thanks, Denis.

Exactly----->> I will Complete this project as per the given scope of work ----AWS to BinaryLane Migration This is a straightforward lift-and-shift only if the dependencies are mapped first. I would focus on moving both SaaS apps cleanly to BinaryLane while keeping RDS data, S3 assets, SSL, cron jobs, DNS and GitHub CI/CD working exactly as expected. I will provision the BinaryLane servers, migrate the applications and databases, configure SSL, reconnect S3, preserve deployment workflows, configure transactional email and run smoke tests before DNS cutover. One important question: what are the current application stacks and how is GitHub CI/CD deploying to the AWS EC2 instances today? This will determine the cleanest BinaryLane setup and help avoid deployment issues after migration. I am also comfortable handling the next four migrations once these two are stable. Please ping me to get started and get outstanding results. Thanks!!!

Hi — Elias here from Miami. I understand you need to move your two SaaS sites from AWS to BinaryLane. This transition involves ensuring your applications perform reliably in a new environment. What usually matters most here is maintaining data integrity and minimizing downtime. A common issue in these migrations is managing dependencies and configurations that differ between platforms. The tricky part is usually the database migration and ensuring your application’s architecture supports the new environment's nuances. My approach would involve a thorough analysis of your current architecture, followed by a carefully planned migration strategy. I would prioritize stability and create a rollback plan to mitigate risks if complications arise. Ensuring that your applications are maintainable and scalable post-migration is essential. I have successfully managed similar migrations, ensuring seamless transitions while optimizing performance in new cloud environments. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific functionalities or integrations must remain intact during the migration? Q2 – Are there any particular scalability or performance expectations for BinaryLane? Q3 – How do you currently handle user roles and permissions in your SaaS applications? Happy to go through the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello, I can migrate both SaaS applications from AWS EC2/RDS to BinaryLane with a controlled lift-and-shift approach, keeping AWS S3 in place for uninterrupted image and document storage. I’ll provision and harden the new Linux hosts, transfer application code and databases, recreate cron jobs, configure HTTPS certificates, and update environment settings for the new infrastructure. I’ll validate each site through smoke tests before DNS changes, then verify HTTPS access, S3 read/write behavior, database connectivity, and application functionality after cutover. I can also preserve the GitHub CI/CD workflow for future deployments and configure a reliable transactional email provider such as Amazon SES, SendGrid, or Mailgun based on deliverability and cost. The migration will be planned to minimize downtime, with backups and rollback considerations before switching traffic. Once these two sites are stable, the same deployment process can be reused for the remaining four sites. Could you share the current EC2, RDS engine/version, deployment workflow, and DNS/SSL setup so I can plan the safest cutover? I’d be glad to help make this migration predictable, tested, and cost-effective. Regards, Muhammad Awais

One thing worth flagging before anything else, since you mentioned value: keeping S3 while moving compute off AWS changes your egress economics. Today EC2 reads from S3 in the same region cost nothing; once the app lives on BinaryLane, every byte the app pulls from S3 becomes internet egress at roughly nine cents a gigabyte. If your apps currently stream files through the application server, that bill can climb quickly. The fix is to serve assets to browsers via presigned URLs direct from S3, or put CloudFront in front of the buckets, so files travel S3 → user rather than S3 → your server → user. Worth deciding before migration, not after the first invoice. The related gotcha is IAM: your EC2 instances almost certainly authenticate to S3 through an instance role, which doesn't exist outside AWS. So we'll need IAM users with keys scoped by policy to just those buckets, injected as environment secrets — otherwise everything works in testing and S3 writes start failing the moment the app is live on the new host. On the database, moving off RDS means inheriting backups, patching and monitoring yourself, so I'd set up automated dumps to offsite storage and prove them by actually restoring one before cutover. For the dump itself I'd include routines, triggers and events explicitly, since those are the pieces most commonly lost, and check parameter differences like `sql_mode` and timezone between RDS and the new server. For the cutover I'd either take a brief maintenance window or configure the new database as an external replica off RDS binlogs and catch up, so no writes are lost while DNS propagates. Two details I'd handle carefully in the cutover itself: SSL certificates issued on the new server before DNS moves, using the DNS-01 challenge since HTTP-01 can't validate until traffic points there, and cron jobs disabled on one side during overlap — two servers both running scheduled billing or email jobs is how duplicate charges and duplicate emails happen. TTLs dropped to 300 ahead of time, old stack left running until you're satisfied. For transactional email, SES is by far the cheapest at your likely volume, but it needs production access granted via a support request, so that's worth starting early rather than discovering the sandbox limit at go-live. Whichever provider you choose, I'd set up SPF, DKIM, DMARC and a dedicated custom MAIL FROM subdomain so alignment is strict and your templates actually reach inboxes. CI/CD I'd keep on GitHub Actions, swapping the deploy target to SSH with a deploy key and a symlinked releases layout so deployments stay atomic and rollback is instant. You'd get written runbooks for both servers covering deploys, backups, restores and certificate renewal. On cost, I work in small milestones as pieces land, so you pay for what's delivered — and with four more sites behind these two, I'd rather build the first migration as a repeatable process than as a one-off. Send me read access to the current stacks and I can start on the inventory and target sizing immediately.

Hi, I understand you're migrating two SaaS sites from AWS to BinaryLane, aiming for a clean lift-and-shift with a controlled cutover after smoke tests, keeping S3 storage intact and SSL certificates in place. I've handled similar transitions, including re-pointing DNS and preserving asset paths so there are no broken links. Execution approach: I'd start by inventorying the codebase, CI/CD hooks, and current AWS dependencies, then provision equivalent BinaryLane instances, copy data, re-point S3 endpoints, and run smoke tests before DNS switchover. One technical risk / key challenge: DNS propagation timing and SSL/TLS certificate validation could briefly disrupt access if not sequenced carefully. Two clarification questions: What is the acceptable downtime window for the cutover, if any? Should CI/CD remain active during the migration or be paused and resumed afterward? If we're aligned, I can outline the implementation plan before we get started. Best regards, Brandon

Hello, You’re not just moving servers here , you’re protecting uptime, asset paths, and deployment flow while changing the home beneath two live SaaS products. I’ve handled AWS-to-VPS migrations, SSL, cron jobs, DNS cutovers, S3-backed storage, and GitHub-based deployments, so I can lift and shift both apps to BinaryLane cleanly, verify HTTPS, keep S3 links intact, and rewire transactional email for reliable delivery. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. I’d start with the first site, validate smoke tests and deploy flow, then move the second with minimal risk and keep the setup ready for the four follow-on deployments. Do both SaaS apps use the same deployment method, or does each need separate CI/CD wiring? Best regards, Asad
