I need a reliable switch-mode power supply that can accept any mains voltage from 100 VAC to 240 VAC and deliver a rock-solid 5 V at 60 A (≈300 W) for a outdoor /indoor LED system application Because the unit will live inside industrial control cabinets, low ripple, high efficiency, and rugged protection features (short-circuit, over-current, over-temperature, and over-voltage) are critical. EMI has to be kept well within the typical limits you would expect for industrial gear, but I’m not chasing any formal UL or CE paperwork right now. Hi, Can you give me a per unit cost target and size limitation? An efficiency target will also be nice. The power supply as per the image is a fanless design and I assume you want a similar structure. We have recently executed a 1.3 kW ac-dc power supply (I can show you photos & videos on chat) so the main challenge for this will be the low voltage high current secondary. I prefer a half bridge layout but I can do forward as well if you want. I would not suggest Flyback for this application. We can do IC based design but if you want. we can also do a microcontroller based design which makes the device much harder for anyone to copy.
