Branch IT Setup & Install

I’m refreshing the IT workspace at our Westgate Road branch in Campbell River, BC (V9W 1R2) and need an experienced L1 desktop engineer to handle a mix of hardware installation and light network work during an 80-hour window. Here’s the scope you’ll be tackling: • Renovate the current desk layout and install the new workstations. • Add 6–10 new Ethernet drops, then replace the existing 8-port unit with a managed switch and patch everything neatly. • Re-install the mini-PCs into their sandwich brackets, mount them on new monitor arms, and hook up the updated peripherals and displays. • Perform any rack tidy-ups required while you integrate the new switch. • Configure a fresh Microsoft Teams Room meeting bar so it’s ready for staff use. Acceptance will be based on: – All Ethernet ports live-tested end to end. – Devices securely mounted, cable-managed, and powering up without errors. – Teams Room bar passing an on-site call test. – A quick hand-over sheet noting port labels, switch IP, and any rack changes. If you’re comfortable with light carpentry around desk mounting, confident in managed-switch setup, and can document your work clearly, I’d like to hear how soon you can be on site and the tools you’ll bring.
