Mailcow ships 14 containers by default, and the networking between them needs explicit bridge isolation from the host, otherwise Postfix ends up reachable before SPF/DMARC is live, which is enough to land on a blocklist before the first legitimate email goes out. My sequence: lock down the docker network first (custom bridge, no host networking), bring up mailcow behind Let's Encrypt TLS, apply UFW rules and fail2ban before opening port 25/587 externally, then verify DKIM/SPF/DMARC against a mail deliverability test before signing off.
