I've had it running before but with too many changes during testing I can't get it to work again.
I have a ASP.Net Web application that has been published to a folder outside of wwwroot i.e. on my D: drive. When I try to connect to it either by localhost or from mu URL I get "This site can’t be reached...refused to connect"
No doubt this has to do with user and folder permissions but I can't get it properly aligned.
So what I need is for someone to assist with IIS which is installed on my local PC (I don't need assistance with the application, it works just fine using IISExpress).
Also what I need, and I had that working correctly at some stage, is to add Windows Authentication, so that only invited users can get access to my website. When anyone accesses the site externally they will get a login screen and only Windows users that I have created and assigned a login & password will gain access.
For anyone who has experience with IIS and permissions this should be a straightforward exercise.
