Key responsibilities Build and refine question-level grading rubrics for Social science aligned to CBSE board marking schemes. Identify recurring student errors in Social Science (Class 9 & 10) [11 and 12 is an added advantage] and contribute to a structured error taxonomy — what the mistake is, why students make it, and how many marks should be deducted. Review AI-generated grades and flag where the model is under-confident, over-confident, or wrong, with reasoning the engineering team can act on. Provide annotated worked solutions and "ideal answer" exemplars that the model can learn from. Participate in short weekly review calls and async written reviews of sample answer scripts. Evaluate the mapped answer script to the rubric created. Checking/assisting in creating marking scheme for answer keys Required qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience teaching social science to CBSE students at Class 9 & 10 (school, coaching institute or tutoring). Demonstrable experience correcting CBSE board papers — either as an official CBSE evaluator, school exam evaluator, or mock-board evaluator with verifiable references. Strong command over the current NCERT Social science syllabus and the latest CBSE marking scheme conventions. Ability to articulate, in writing, why a specific student answer lost marks — not just that it did. Comfort working in English; written deliverables will be in English. Preferred Prior involvement in rubric design, question-paper setting, or moderation panels for Social science. Exposure to ed-tech grading workflows, item-analysis, or assessment research. Analytical writing style: structured, specific, willing to disagree with a draft rubric and explain why. What we are looking for in your thinking This is not a content-creation role — it is a judgement role. We want SMEs who can look at a student's wrong answer and tell us, precisely, the step at which the student's reasoning broke, what type of error it is (Like conceptual - lacking in basic concepts, procedural - mistakes in doing the step etc) , and whether the same student would likely repeat it. Critical thinking and the ability to disagree cleanly with a draft rubric matter more to us than seniority on paper. Screening task (mandatory, no AI tools permitted) No use of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other AI tool. Submissions that read as AI-generated will be disqualified. You may consult the NCERT textbook and the official CBSE marking scheme. Cite them where you do For each answer, provide: What the student attempted — briefly describe their approach Where exactly the student went wrong — identify the specific step, concept, or fact that is incorrect or missing Why they lost marks — reference the CBSE marking scheme logic (step marks, key terms, diagrams if applicable) What marks you would award and why — out of the total marks for that question Error classification — label the error type (e.g. conceptual misunderstanding, incomplete reasoning, factual mistake, etc.) - simple label classification is enough. Send us a message for screening test

I am an experienced SST and Science Academic Editor with 6 years of experience in CBSE-aligned curriculum development, assessment design, answer key creation, and academic content evaluation. I have worked extensively on competency-based questions, marking schemes, sample papers, and student assessment workflows for Classes 6–12. My experience includes identifying conceptual gaps in student responses, evaluating subjective answers, and aligning assessments with CBSE marking practices and NCERT guidelines. I am detail-oriented, comfortable with rubric-based evaluation, and skilled at providing structured academic reasoning for mark allocation and deductions. I would be interested in contributing to rubric refinement, error taxonomy development, and AI-assisted grading evaluation for Social Science assessments.
