20 sensors at 0.5–4.5 V through two CD74HC4067s on a single Pico ADC — the main problem here isn't the code, it's noise and settling time after channel switching. That's tolerable for a slowly rising pressure signal, but the RP2040's 12 bits give a step of about 1.2 mV at the input, and filtering/smoothing is needed. I've written firmware for microcontrollers with sensors and actuators in C/C++ (including RP2040). I won't be able to do the physical assembly and wiring of the 3-meter cables remotely. What polling rate per channel is required?

Hi, there I have worked with sensor-driven embedded systems where reliable multi-channel acquisition, timestamped telemetry, and a Python monitoring layer were required for real-time analysis and logging. For this prototype, I am planning a clean RP2040-based acquisition architecture with appropriate signal conditioning, stable 5V sensor interfacing, channel scanning, calibration handling, and 1 Hz timestamped serial output. The Python side can use PyQt6/PyQtGraph for 20 simultaneous traces, pyserial for robust streaming, and SQLite for structured session logging, with reconnect/error handling and CSV export if useful. I would also include channel labeling, basic validation, bench testing, and a reproducible firmware/GUI setup for Windows 10 and Linux Mint. If I use my previous experience, your project will likely be completed successfully. Hope to discuss this in detail. Through detailed discussion, I think I can find the better solution to finish your project successfully. Thank you
